Full-Stack Software Engineer | $65/hr | Remote

Full-Stack Software Engineers We are hiring experienced Full-Stack Software Engineers, Backend Engineers, Application Engineers, and Product Engineers to build production software on top of frontier AI models. You will work directly with an AI lab's engineering team to build applications, integrate pre-release model APIs, test new capabilities, identify failure modes, and ship working software across multiple programming-language ecosystems. What You'll Do Build and ship full-stack applications, backend services, APIs, internal tools, and developer utilities Develop production software using Python, Java, Rust, C#, C++, TypeScript, or related languages Integrate pre-release AI model APIs into real applications Build tool interfaces, evaluation harnesses, telemetry systems, and supporting infrastructure Create frontend experiences using React or similar modern frameworks Work with relational databases, document databases, cloud services, and distributed systems Stress-test frontier AI models through practical software workflows Identify model, API, integration, reliability, and performance failures Document technical findings and provide clear feedback to research and engineering teams Prototype quickly under evolving requirements and limited initial specifications Onboard into unfamiliar repositories and deliver working code quickly Maintain high standards for code quality, architecture, testing, and technical documentation Who Can Apply Relevant backgrounds include: Full-Stack Software Engineers, Senior Full-Stack Engineers, Software Engineers, Senior Software Engineers, Application Engineers, Product Engineers, Software Developers, Full-Stack Developers, Platform Engineers, Systems Engineers, and Research Engineers. Requirements 3+ years of dedicated professional software engineering experience Experience building and shipping production software at a recognized technology company or established organization Strong production experience in at least one of Python, Java, Rust, C#, or C++ Working proficiency in a second programming language Hands-on full-stack experience across backend services, APIs, frontend applications, databases, and cloud deployment Experience with React or another modern frontend framework Ability to understand an unfamiliar codebase and contribute quickly Strong debugging, problem-solving, and technical reasoning skills Demonstrated career growth and increasing engineering responsibility Strong written communication and technical documentation abilities Reliable weekday availability for 40 hours per week Preferred Background Experience building applications using generative AI or large language model APIs Experience with OpenAI-compatible APIs, model serving, function calling, tool use, or agent workflows Background in AI evaluation, model benchmarking, red teaming, or testing AI-generated outputs Experience developing evaluation harnesses, telemetry systems, or internal engineering tools Experience working with pre-release APIs or rapidly evolving technology Experience at a high-growth startup, major technology company, research lab, or engineering-intensive organization Experience collaborating closely with research scientists, machine learning engineers, or AI product teams Open-source software contributions or ownership of production engineering systems Experience working across multiple programming-language ecosystems This opportunity is ideal for experienced full-stack engineers who enjoy building real products, learning unfamiliar systems quickly, working across multiple technologies, and testing the limits of next-generation AI models.
