Location: Denver, Colorado (Remote, but candidate must be local within Colorado) Candidate must be local to Colorado (remote work allowed within the state) We are seeking a GCP Cloud Engineer to accelerate enterprise cloud migration and modernization projects. This role will lead infrastructure delivery, automation, and governance while partnering with Cloud Architecture and Operations teams. The engineer will champion DevOps practices, ensure platform reliability, and embed security into every deployment. Key Responsibilities Infrastructure as Code: Deploy/manage GCP infrastructure using Terraform integrated with CI/CD pipelines. Standardization: Author and govern SOPs for secure IaaS, PaaS, SaaS consumption. Core Networking: Configure VPCs, Shared VPCs, and compute instances for enterprise workloads. Security Automation: Collaborate with NetSecOps/CISO to embed IAM and security policies into reusable templates. Identity & Access: Manage organizations, groups, and access controls aligned with IAM requirements. Observability: Implement monitoring, logging, and reporting for platform health. Innovation & Advocacy: Evaluate new GCP features and evangelize adoption. Tier-2 Support: Provide escalation support for incident resolution. On-Call Operations: Participate in 24/7/365 rotation for production support. Minimum Qualifications 5+ years of infrastructure development with GCP foundation services (compute, network, storage, security, automation). 5+ years of Terraform/IaC experience. Expertise in cloud infrastructure solutions (Windows/Linux IaaS, DR, Security, Networking, Containers). Proven experience with enterprise-scale deployments. Hands-on CI/CD pipeline development. Strong scripting skills: Bash, Python, YAML, PowerShell. Preferred Qualifications Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect certification. Google Cloud Associate Cloud Engineer certification. Experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI.
