GCP Cloud Engineer

GCP Cloud Engineer Location: Remote (Must reside in Colorado) Duration: 6-Month Contract (Likely Extension) Pay Rate: $48–$53/hour One of Insight Global's SLED clients is seeking a GCP Cloud Engineer to support an enterprise cloud modernization and migration initiative. This individual will serve as the primary infrastructure lead for cloud projects, partnering closely with architecture, security, networking, and application teams to design, deploy, and maintain secure, scalable, and highly available Google Cloud environments. In this role, you will build and manage cloud infrastructure using Terraform , automate deployments through CI/CD pipelines , and implement monitoring and logging solutions. Required Skills & Experience 5+ years of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) engineering experience 5+ years of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) experience using Terraform or similar tools Strong expertise in cloud infrastructure, including: Windows and Linux environments Networking Security Storage Disaster Recovery Containers Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines Strong scripting and automation experience with one or more of the following: Python Bash PowerShell YAML Currently located in Colorado Nice-to-Have Skills Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect Certification Google Cloud Associate Cloud Engineer Certification Hands-on experience deploying infrastructure using: Azure DevOps GitHub Actions GitLab CI Other enterprise CI/CD platforms
