Role Overview We are seeking an experienced and driven GCP Engineer to design, deploy, and maintain robust cloud infrastructure on the Google Cloud Platform. You will work alongside our development and operations teams to automate deployment pipelines, optimize cloud performance, and enforce security compliance. The ideal candidate balances technical excellence with cost-awareness and a focus on scalability. Key Responsibilities Infrastructure as Code (IaC) : Develop, maintain, and scale Infrastructure as Code using tools like Terraform to automate resource provisioning and configuration management Cloud Architecture : Design and implement highly available and secure cloud-native services using core GCP offerings (e.g., Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Run, and Cloud Storage) CI/CD & Automation : Build and manage CI/CD pipelines to streamline application deployments; write automation scripts using languages like Python or Bash Security & Governance : Define and enforce security best practices across the GCP environment, including Identity and Access Management (IAM), network security, and data encryption Performance & Cost Optimization : Monitor system health, identify performance bottlenecks, and implement FinOps strategies (e.g., resource right-sizing, CUDs) to control and optimize cloud spending Troubleshooting & Incident Response : Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and deployment vulnerabilities, responding to technical issues and conducting post-mortems Qualifications & Skills Experience : 3+ years of demonstrated experience designing, developing, and maintaining cloud applications, with at least 2+ years specifically on GC GCP Expertise : Proficiency with key GCP services such as VPC, Cloud Load Balancing, Cloud SQL, BigQuery, and GKE (Google Kubernetes Engine Automation & Scripting : Strong programming or scripting skills in Python, Go, or Bas DevOps Tooling : Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and orchestration tools, as well as CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions Networking : Solid understanding of cloud networking concepts (VPNs, subnets, firewalls, and private connectivity Certifications : Google Cloud Certified Professional Cloud Architect or Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer are highly desirable.
