Overview We are looking for a reliable and experienced Part-Time General Contractor / Maintenance Technician to assist with ongoing maintenance and repair work at residential apartment buildings in Ottawa. The ideal candidate is a skilled, hands-on individual who can work independently, take pride in their work, and is available to respond to jobs as needed. Experience Required Experience with several of the following is an asset: * Minor plumbing repairs and installations * Installing and replacing kitchen countertops * Bathroom ceramic tile installation * Floor tile installation * Drywall repairs and patching * Painting and touch-ups * Caulking and sealing * Minor carpentry * Installing doors, trim, shelving and hardware * General apartment repairs and renovations * Other general maintenance and handyman work Requirements * Must have your own reliable vehicle * Must have your own professional tools * Must have previous experience in general contracting, renovations, or building maintenance * Must be reliable and available on an as-needed basis * Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision * Good attention to detail and quality of workmanship * Professional and respectful when dealing with residents and building staff Pay: From $37.00 per hour Benefits: * On-site parking Experience: * Handyman: 3 years (required) Work Location: In person
