We are looking for a reliable, detail-oriented, and safety-focused individual to join our growing team as a Safety Advisor. In this role, you will support the implementation and ongoing management of our Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) program, provide field support to employees, and promote a strong safety culture across our operations. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in the field, building relationships with employees, identifying hazards, and helping teams maintain a safe and compliant workplace. Responsibilities will include: * Managing the company HSE program, promoting safety throughout the workforce, and maintaining accurate safety statistics. * Providing field support to employees and shift supervisors, including conducting safety audits, workplace inspections, and Field Level Risk Assessment (FLRA) reviews. * Reviewing and ensuring compliance with HSE documentation, including FLHA, audits, and inspections. * Addressing employee questions, comments, concerns, and safety-related issues in a timely and professional manner. * Coordinating and facilitating HSE training, maintaining training records and certificates, and assisting with PPE evaluation and procurement for hazardous materials. * Complete observation of tasks being performed to create and revise company Safe Job Procedures in collaboration with various job roles. * Conducting site orientations, HSE training, and client-specific training for new employees. * Developing and facilitating monthly HSE meetings with employees and staff. * Leading and managing the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) committee. * Conducting hazard assessments and developing appropriate training, work procedures, and PPE requirements for specific tasks. * Conducting respirator fit testing for employees. * Oversee fleet management and maintenance * Ensuring HSE-related supplies and equipment are maintained and readily available. * Performing operational and HSE duties for clients * Assisting with additional HSE and operational responsibilities as required. *Qualifications and Skills: * Preferred * NCSO, CRSP, CRST, or other recognized health and safety certification. * Experience working in the construction or environmental industry Required * Strong knowledge of Alberta Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) legislation and applicable workplace safety requirements. * Previous experience in a health and safety or safety advisor role. * Ability to understand and implement health and safety management systems * Flexibility to use and implement systems and organizational structures to work independently, organize workload and set priorities * Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. * Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate HSE records and documentation. * Ability to work independently while effectively supporting company team culture. * Ability to conduct workplace inspections, audits, FLHA reviews, and safety investigations. * Strong written communication and report-writing abilities. * Comfortable working in a variety of indoor and outdoor environments, including active work sites * Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. * Ability to wear appropriate PPE and meet applicable respirator fit-testing requirements.
