Lethbridge County is hiring a *Permanent Heavy Equipment Operator *(Equipment Operator 4) to support road maintenance, construction, drainage, and public works projects throughout the County. What You'll Do (Responsibilities) * Operate graders and other heavy equipment such as loaders, backhoes, motor scrapers, mill razors, excavators, dozers, and scrapers as required and directed * Complete daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance * Report mechanical issues and assist with minor troubleshooting and maintenance * Follow all safety policies and procedures and participate in Lethbridge County's Health and Safety program * Assist with general labour duties as required Who You Are (Qualifications) * Qualified and competent operating a grader safely and independently, required * Experience operating other heavy equipment in road construction, drainage, or civil construction, required * Strong understanding of and focus on safe work practices, required * Mechanical knowledge, an asset * Valid Class 3 driver?s license, required * A satisfactory Police Information Check and Driver's Abstract are required for successful applicants. Working Conditions * Outdoor work in various weather conditions * Overtime and weekend work may be required Work Location: In person, various locations throughout Lethbridge County as directed by your supervisor.
