Cook Construction is looking for an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team. If you've spent years in the cab, know how to run equipment properly, take pride in doing a good job, and want to work with a solid crew, we want to hear from you. This is a hands-on construction job for someone who knows the work and doesn't need to be told how to operate a machine. What You'll Be Doing * Operating heavy equipment such as excavators, dozers, loaders, and other construction equipment * Performing excavation, grading, site preparation, and other construction work * Loading, moving, and placing materials safely and efficiently * Working around other operators, labourers, trucks, and construction crews * Performing daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance * Keeping equipment clean and reporting mechanical issues when they arise * Following job-site safety procedures and maintaining a safe work environment * Working outdoors in changing weather and job-site conditions * Helping the crew get the job done safely, efficiently, and on schedule What We're Looking For You should have: * 8+ years of heavy equipment operating experience * *Class 3 Driver's license *or Class 1 (not needed but beneficial) * Strong experience operating construction equipment * Experience with excavators, dozers, loaders, and/or similar equipment * A valid driver's licence * Good understanding of equipment operation, maintenance, and safety * Ability to read the job site and work independently * Strong work ethic and dependable attendance * Ability to work as part of a team * A safety-first attitude * Willingness to work in all types of weather and job-site conditions Pay: From $25.00 per hour Benefits: * Dental care * RRSP match * Vision care Work Location: In person
