POSITION OVERVIEW Reporting to the Regional Director/Manager of Operations, the General Manager is responsible for the overall success and performance of the hotel. This role oversees all aspects of operations, with a strong focus on maximizing financial results, delivering exceptional guest experiences, fostering high levels of employee engagement, and safeguarding the hotel?s reputation and operational integrity. SKILLS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE * Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present insight and actionable recommendations in a concise and confident manner. * Collaborative and flexible, with the ability to foster a positive team environment. * Strong change management and project management skills. * Extremely organized and detail oriented. * Proficient in Microsoft Office. * A minimum of 5 years related Hotel management experience. * College/university diploma from a recognized hospitality program an asset. * Proven track record of effectively handling multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously as well as ability to work at a high level of productivity in a fast-paced, environment. RESPONSIBILITIES * Lead, direct and manage all hotel operations. * Identify operational performance, productivity and efficiency gaps and implement measures to correct those deficiencies. * Ensure the implementation and maintenance of all company practices and standards (purchasing, accounting, human resources, hotel operations, etc.). * Implement and maintain a guest service and cleanliness and preventative maintenance program. * Mentor, train and develop hotel management personnel. * Oversee revenue management, sales and marketing initiatives to drive hotel profitability. * Recruit, interview, train, coach and motivate employees. * Prepare annual capital, property budgets, cash flow and outside/inside sales and marketing plans to accurately achieve required operating results. * Analyze financials to drive revenues, future profitability and maximum return on investment. * Manage risk and the hotel?s professional reputation. * Build a culture of decisive, and results focused leaders, who are open-minded to change and take ownership for their actions and performance. * Create specific, measurable, achievable, realistic, and timely action plans to drive a culture of high performance and exceptional guest service. * Work collaboratively with colleagues and other departments to support shared goals, stay aligned, and deliver quality work. * Demonstrate the Company?s Mindsets in daily actions, decisions, and interactions with guests, colleagues, and leaders. * Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and respectful
