Job Overview We are seeking an energetic, detail-oriented Housekeeping Supervisor to lead our dedicated cleaning team in maintaining a pristine and welcoming environment. In this role, you are responsible for overseeing the daily housekeeping operations across both hotel brands- Super 8 Kelowna & La Quinta Inn & Suites Kelowna. This role includes: * Supervise, train, and evaluate housekeeping staff to ensure efficient and high-quality service. * Assign daily cleaning tasks and monitor completion. * Perform regular housekeeping duties as needed, including cleaning guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces, to cover shifts during staff shortages or peak periods. * Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, back-of-house, and laundry operations. * Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies, linens, and equipment. * Address guest complaints or special requests promptly and professionally. * Ensure compliance with safety, hygiene, and occupational health standards. * Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and scheduling of housekeeping team members. * Collaborate with management to implement operational improvements and cost control measures. * Enforce safety procedures related to cleaning chemicals, equipment use, and workplace safety regulations * Develop work schedules that optimize staffing levels during peak times and special events * Address guest concerns promptly and professionally to resolve issues related to cleanliness or service quality Qualifications * Proven experience in hotel housekeeping or custodial management, with a strong understanding of janitorial procedures and industrial cleaning techniques * Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively * Knowledge of floor care techniques, including carpet cleaning, waxing, polishing, and other floor maintenance tasks * Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in supervising cleaning processes and maintaining records * Strong communication skills to coordinate with staff and interact positively with guests * Familiarity with hospitality industry standards and customer service principles * Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of cleanliness Join us as a Housekeeping Supervisor and lead the charge in creating an immaculate environment that guests love!
