Job Summary: The Human Resources Manager under the direction of the Chief Operating Officer is primarily responsible for workforce planning, compensation governance complex employee relations, succession planning, culture, compliance, HR analytics and executive KPI reporting, and evaluating the human resources department. The Human Resources Manager will be responsible for overseeing personnel management, including wage increases, promotions, and disciplinary actions in compliance with company policies. This position will also determine staffing requirements and participate in the recruitment process. This individual will comply with provincial and federal legislation, company and health and safety policies and ISO/IATF quality program and procedures. Education and Experience: A college diploma or degree is Human Resources is required Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive work experience in Human Resources is required Minimum of 3 years of Human Resources experience at the manager level is required Strong knowledge of Ontario Employment Law, investigations, compensation, employee relations and workforce planning Relevant industry experience is highly desired CHRP or CHRL designation is an asset Credible executive advisor who can protect compliance while maintaining a high-trust, shop-floor-visible HR function Strong leadership, practical and interpersonal skills Valid Class G driver's license Proficient in computers with the ability to user various computer applications such as Microsoft Office, and experience with a Human Resources Information System Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Broad knowledge and experience in Human Resources Management Flexible thinker and a dynamic constant learner who can incorporate groundbreaking recruiting techniques, actively seeking out the best people in the applicable fields and making them a part of our team Ambassador for the company and will be able to recognize exceptional individuals with strong leadership qualities Strong verbal and written communication skills High degree of confidentiality Strong attention to detail Capable of forecasting and solving problems Time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks Willingness to lead, take charge, and offer opinions and direction Ability to adapt and welcome change in a positive manner Job Requirements and Responsibilities: Develop and implement a Human Resources Mission & Strategy that aligns with OTC's Mission and Company Strategic Goals Overall management of Human Resources projects Handle all complex employee terminations and other complex employee relations issues including investigations, disciplinary actions, harassment claims, or other workforce conflicts Anticipate and identify emerging issues, trends, and problems that affect the policies and programs of the company Lead workforce planning, succession planning, skills/competency architecture, apprenticeship pipeline, critical-role coverage, and organization-design support Ensure compliance with all legislative, labour law, and Health & Safety regulations by executing necessary policies and procedures Provide guidance for change management initiatives Perform continuous evaluation, development, and execution of company policies, programs, and processes Perform all duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with the company mission statement, philosophy, and ethical standards Participate in various internal and external meetings Represent the company on legal matters Positively contribute to a healthy corporate cul
