Location: Remote (U.S.) Schedule: Must be available during Eastern Time business hours Duration: 7-Week Contract (June 22, 2026 – August 7, 2026) Employment Type: Freelance / Contract About the Opportunity We're partnering with a digital design studio known for creating thoughtful, user-centered digital products for innovative brands and startups. The team is seeking a skilled Freelance iOS Developer to support an upcoming project focused on building and refining native iOS experiences. This is a hands-on role working closely with product designers, strategists, and developers to bring polished mobile experiences to life. You'll help translate high-fidelity designs into performant, scalable, and maintainable iOS applications. Responsibilities Develop and maintain native iOS applications using Swift , SwiftUI , and UIKit Collaborate closely with designers to implement pixel-perfect user interfaces and interactions Build reusable components and scalable architecture patterns Integrate APIs and backend services into mobile applications Optimize application performance, responsiveness, and accessibility Participate in code reviews and contribute to development best practices Troubleshoot issues and deliver high-quality solutions within project timelines Work effectively within a distributed team while maintaining clear communication throughout the engagement Maintain and enhance existing UIKit-based features while contributing to newer SwiftUI implementations Requirements 3+ years of professional iOS development experience Strong expertise in Swift and SwiftUI Hands-on experience with UIKit is required Experience building and shipping native iOS applications Solid understanding of iOS frameworks, architecture patterns, and mobile development best practices Experience integrating RESTful APIs and working with asynchronous data flows Familiarity with Git and collaborative development workflows Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately implement design specifications Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently in a remote environment Availability during Eastern Time business hours throughout the engagement Nice-to-Have Qualifications Experience working with digital agencies or design studios Experience with modern iOS architecture patterns (MVVM, MVC, Coordinator, etc.) Experience creating polished animations, transitions, and mobile interactions Exposure to accessibility standards and performance optimization Experience collaborating directly with UX/UI design teams Engagement Details Contract Length: 7 Weeks Project Dates: June 22, 2026 – August 7, 2026 Location: Fully Remote Schedule: Must be available during Eastern Time working hours Team Environment: Collaborative digital design studio working alongside designers, strategists, and developers Show more Show less
