Junior Database Administrator

Database Administrator (DBA) | 100% Remote We're hiring a Junior DBA to join a collaborative data engineering team supporting the design, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise-scale database solutions. This is a fully remote, entry-level opportunity ideal for candidates looking to build their database career in a structured, technical environment. What You'll Do: Implement and maintain one or more complex databases, supporting architecture design, prototyping, and data solution delivery Assist with the planning and engineering of the organization's database environment Monitor database performance, scalability, and security across environments Evaluate existing database designs to identify necessary updates and integration requirements Support development, testing, and debugging of data solutions that meet organizational design standards Assist with installation, maintenance, and administration of Oracle databases Required Qualifications: Experience configuring, integrating, and securing database offerings (e.g., RDS, Aurora, Cassandra, DynamoDB) Ability to design and develop complex SQL queries and reports Experience with Database Schema as Code tools Experience supporting Linux systems in a system design, development, or administration capacity Familiarity with database partitioning and microservices concepts Knowledge of Agile methodologies or the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) Experience with a complex build system Oracle DBMS experience required — other DBMS cannot be supported for this position Nice to Have: Experience analyzing and tuning queries for performance optimization Familiarity with Liquibase source control tools Experience with code reviews on SQL change sets and enforcing SQL best practices Experience with cloud-native database solutions including AWS RDS and DynamoDB Exposure to security scanning tools and vulnerability remediation workflows Experience with ETL and data warehousing methods Familiarity with replication technologies such as AWS DMS or Oracle GoldenGate Show more Show less
