Must be ON SITE IN CHARLOTTE, NC Charlotte based Junior Network Engineer Charlotte, NC | Contract- must be onsite & local to Uptown ONSITE About the Role We are looking for a hands-on Network Engineer to support physical network infrastructure in a data center environment. This role is focused on the physical side of networking — racking, stacking, and cabling — and is a great opportunity for someone early in their career who wants to build real-world infrastructure experience. What You'll Do • Install, rack, and stack servers and networking equipment in a data center environment • Run, label, and manage structured cabling (copper and fiber) • Support physical network builds and hardware deployments • Assist with troubleshooting physical connectivity issues • Maintain accurate documentation of physical infrastructure • Collaborate with senior network engineers on larger projects What We're Looking For • CCNA certification (required or actively pursuing) • 1–3 years of hands-on experience in a data center or network infrastructure environment • Solid understanding of basic networking concepts (TCP/IP, VLANs, switching) • Experience with physical cabling — structured cabling, patch panels, cable management • Ability to lift and move equipment as needed • Detail-oriented with strong documentation habits • Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment Nice to Have • Experience with Cisco networking equipment • Familiarity with data center best practices • Any hands-on lab or home lab experience This is a contract role based onsite in Charlotte, NC.
