Junior Software Tester (H/F) Location: United States Employment Type: Full-Time Job Summary We are looking for a detail-oriented Junior Software Tester to join our Quality Assurance team. This entry-level position is responsible for testing software applications, identifying defects, documenting issues, and ensuring products meet quality standards before release. The ideal candidate is analytical, eager to learn, and passionate about software quality. Key Responsibilities Execute manual test cases and test scripts to validate software functionality. Identify, document, and track software defects using issue-tracking tools. Perform functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT). Verify bug fixes and ensure issues are resolved effectively. Assist in creating and maintaining test plans, test cases, and testing documentation. Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product teams to understand requirements and testing needs. Report testing progress, results, and quality metrics to management. Support software deployments and perform post-release validation testing. Follow established QA standards, processes, and best practices. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field. 0–2 years of experience in software testing, quality assurance, IT support, or a related technical role. Basic understanding of software development and testing methodologies. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment. Preferred Qualifications Internship, academic project, or hands-on experience in software testing. Familiarity with Jira, Azure DevOps, TestRail, or similar testing tools. Basic knowledge of SQL and database concepts. Exposure to Agile/Scrum development methodologies. Understanding of test automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright is a plus.
