Junior Software Tester Location: United States Employment Type: Full-Time Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Software Tester to join our Quality Assurance team. This entry-level role is ideal for individuals looking to build a career in software testing and quality assurance. The successful candidate will assist in testing software applications, identifying defects, documenting results, and ensuring products meet quality standards before release. Key Responsibilities Execute manual test cases and test scripts based on business and technical requirements. Identify, document, and track software defects using bug-tracking tools. Verify bug fixes and perform regression testing. Assist in developing test plans, test cases, and testing documentation. Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and QA team members to understand application requirements. Participate in functional, integration, system, and user acceptance testing (UAT). Document test results and provide clear reports on testing activities. Support software releases by conducting validation and post-release testing. Follow established QA processes, standards, and best practices. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field. 0–2 years of experience in software testing, QA, IT support, or a related technical role. Basic understanding of software development and testing concepts. Familiarity with test case execution and defect reporting. Strong attention to detail and analytical skills. Excellent communication and documentation abilities. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Preferred Qualifications Internship or academic project experience involving software testing. Familiarity with Jira, Azure DevOps, TestRail, or similar tools. Basic knowledge of SQL and database testing. Exposure to Agile or Scrum methodologies. Understanding of test automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright is a plus.
