Kubernetes Engineer

Insight Global is actively hiring a Secret Cleared Kubernetes SME to join our team supporting a newly awarded DoW Program in Manassas VA. All candidates must have a minimum of a Secret Clearance to be considered for this role. The selected candidate will work as a senior level resource responsible for designing, deploying and supporting containerized applications on Kubernetes Clusters; and provide provide final escalation support regarding containerization issues. Minimum Qualifications: Active Secret Clearance or higher Bachelors Degree in IT Related field and 8+ years of Systems Engineering, Software Development or DevOps experience. 4 additional years of experience in lieu of a degree. 4+ years of Kubernetes experience specifically designing, developing, and deploying microservices and containerized legacy applications on Kubernetes clusters; and integrating containerized components within Kubernetes orchestration environments. Experience Proficiency in containerization technologies like Docker, Podman, K3s and related tooling. Hands‑on experience with Helm for packaging and managing Kubernetes applications. Solid expertise in Linux development, integration, and troubleshooting Experience with Bash and/or Python Desired Skills but not required: • Experience in DevSecOps and Agile methodologies. • Knowledge of C++ and Java software development Insight Global is hiring multiple candidates for this position so exact pay may vary based on candidates overall engineering experience, depth of knowledge in containerization and Kubernetes, as well as clearance level. We anticipate paying 180K - 220K for this position based on these factors. We will also be providing health, dental, vision, 401K benefits as well.
