Education: College/CEGEP. Legal administrative assistant/secretary. or equivalent experience. Work site environment: Non-smoking. Air conditioned. Work setting: Legal firm. Willing to relocate. Law firm. Tasks: Help in preparing and completing applications for simple joint and uncontested divorces, domestic contracts and name changes. Perform clerical duties, such as maintain filing systems. Prepare wills, real estate transactions and other legal documents, court reports and affidavits. Draft legal correspondence. Type and proofread correspondence, forms and other documents. Answer telephone and relay telephone calls and messages. Correct translated work using reference material, such as dictionaries and computer software to ensure translation accuracy. Computer and technology knowledge: Spreadsheet. Legal software applications. Divorcemate Software. MS Outlook. MS Excel. MS Word. WordPerfect. Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Own transportation.
