The Legal Services Branch provides civil and constitutional legal advice and representation to all provincial government departments and related agencies. The Office of the Attorney General is seeking an individual to join the Legal Services Branch as Lawyer 1 within the Litigation Group. What you will doThe successful candidate will be responsible for conducting litigation and appearing in all levels of courts and before administrative boards and tribunals throughout the province. The successful candidate will also be responsible for conducting research in specialized areas of the law and providing legal opinions and advice to government departments and agencies.Who you areAs a team player, you will possess strong interpersonal and communication skills.Your attitude, skills and interests are just as important as your area of study. We are looking for diverse backgrounds that bring a combination of the following:Need to have:Law Degree;Membership in good standing or eligibility for membership in good standing with the Law Society of New Brunswick;Minimum of 1 years at the bar, and experience in litigation;Successful candidates will be required to undergo a criminal history clearance and security clearance check.
