Lead PHP Developer

Job Title: Senior PHP Developer Location: Amherst, New York Job Type: Contract Job Description We are seeking an experienced Senior PHP Developer with strong full-stack development expertise and proven experience managing onsite and offshore teams. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable web applications while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions .The role requires strong hands-on experience in PHP development, object-oriented programming, frontend technologies, reporting/dashboard tools such as Power BI, and leadership capabilities in a distributed delivery environment .Key Responsibilitie sDesign, develop, test, and maintain robust PHP-based web applications .Build scalable backend services and APIs using modern PHP frameworks .Apply Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and design patterns in application development .Develop responsive user interfaces using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript .Create and maintain dashboards and business reports using Power BI .Collaborate with business analysts, QA teams, and stakeholders to gather and refine requirements .Lead and coordinate onsite and offshore development teams .Conduct code reviews, mentor junior developers, and enforce coding standards .Optimize application performance, scalability, and security .Troubleshoot and resolve production issues in a timely manner .Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and project planning activities .Ensure proper documentation of technical designs and processes .Required Skills & Qualification sTechnical Skill sStrong experience in PHP development .Expertise in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts .Experience with MVC frameworks such as Laravel, CodeIgniter, or Symfony .Proficiency in :HTML 5CSS 3JavaScrip tExperience with Power BI reporting and dashboard development .Strong understanding of REST APIs and web services .Experience with MySQL or other relational databases .Familiarity with Git/version control systems .Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies .Leadership & Managemen tExperience managing onsite and offshore teams .Strong communication and stakeholder management skills .Ability to coordinate across multiple teams and time zones .Experience in task allocation, sprint planning, and delivery tracking .Preferred Qualification sExperience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure .Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines .Exposure to frontend frameworks like React or Angular is a plus .Prior experience in enterprise application development .Experience Require d10+ years of experience in PHP development .2+ years of team leadership or offshore coordination experience preferred .Educatio nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field .
