Learn more about us: www.groverlawfirm.com What you will do: General management of pre-litigation files including, but not limited to: · Assist with new file openings and prepare new client packages · Request support documents on assigned files, including pre-court, corporate and demographic searches from the Registry, medical and clinical records, employment documents, etc. · Prepare files for meetings, service, litigation, settlement conferences, and court filings · Act as a liaison between clients, Section B adjusters, counsel, medical providers, Calgary Police Services, and other third parties · Client management. This includes assisting clients with any issues arising from Section B Accident Benefits and Property Damage claims, scheduling and notifying clients of medical examinations (i.e. IME, CME, etc.) · Update Amicus on a daily basis and review files that have been diarized to stay on schedule · Prepare disbursement invoices and forward to accounting for processing · Any other needs that lawyers may have You have: · 1-2 years experience as a Legal Assistant · Diploma from an accredited legal assistant program or equivalent · Experience in Personal Injury or Insurance Defense is an asset · Proficiency with litigation procedures and the Rules of Court · Ability to work independently and as part of team · Experience with ESI Law and Amicus is an asset Perks: Wellness Account 20% off Goodlife Corporate Discount Excellent benefits package Annual bonus Free indoor heated parking Job Type: Full-time Pay: From $50,000.00 per year Benefits: * Dental care * Disability insurance * Extended health care * Life insurance * Paid time off * Vision care Ability to commute/relocate: * Calgary, AB T2H 0L3: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred) Work Location: In person
