Joe?s Diner is growing, and we?re looking for an experienced Line Cook to join our busy kitchen team! If you?re a confident cook who can handle a fast-paced service, communicate clearly with your team, and consistently put out quality food, we want to hear from you. We are a busy breakfast, lunch & dinner restaurant serving quality, home-style food. Our kitchen moves quickly, especially during peak service, so previous line-cooking experience is required. What We?re Looking For * Previous line cook / restaurant kitchen experience required * Strong English communication skills are required. You must be able to understand instructions, communicate effectively with coworkers and communicate with front-of-house staff in English. * Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen * Comfortable working multiple stations and managing several orders at once * Strong understanding of food preparation, cooking times and kitchen procedures * Reliable, punctual and dependable * Able to work well as part of a team * Positive attitude and professional approach * Weekend availability is mandatory * Comprehesive Benefit Package is available after a 3 month probationary period, not limited to, but including Dental, Vision, Health and Extended Health Services Your Responsibilities * Prepare ingredients and food for service * Cook menu items to our standards and specifications * Work efficiently with the rest of the kitchen team during busy service * Communicate clearly with kitchen and front-of-house staff throughout service * Ensure food is prepared accurately, consistently and on time * Keep prep areas and workstations clean and organized * Properly stock and rotate inventory * Follow food safety, sanitation and workplace safety standards Pay: $18.00-$21.00 per hour Benefits: * Casual dress * Dental care * Extended health care * Vision care Experience: * Line Cook: 2 years (required) Work Location: In person
