Linux System Administrator

We are seeking a Level 2 (L2) Linux System Engineer to support and maintain client Linux server environments. This role focuses on advanced troubleshooting, patching, vulnerability remediation, and ensuring overall system performance and stability. This is a hands-on, client-facing role responsible for resolving escalated issues and maintaining secure, reliable infrastructure. Key Responsibilitie sProvide L2 support for Linux server environments (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu, or similar )Troubleshoot and resolve OS, performance, and stability issue sApply patches, updates, and kernel upgrades in line with change management processe sIdentify and remediate vulnerabilities (e.g., CVEs) across server environment sAdminister core services such as networking, user access, and system securit yPerform root cause analysis and implement long-term fixe sMonitor systems and proactively address performance or availability risk sOwn escalated incidents through resolution and meet SLA target sDocument issues, fixes, and standard procedure sProduce clear, client-ready technical documentation and findings summaries .Required Qualification s3+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering, systems administration, or technical consulting .Hands-on experience supporting :Linux operating systems (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu, etc. )System administration (users, permissions, services, networking )Patch management tools (yum/dnf/apt )Experience with vulnerability remediation and security best practices .Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills across identity, virtualization, and storage layers .Ability to communicate technical issues and solutions clearly to clients .Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field OR an Associate’s degree (AA/AS) with equivalent practical experience .Preferred Qualification sExperience with VMware or Hyper- VFamiliarity with automation/scripting (Bash, Python, Ansible )Experience with security and monitoring tools (e.g., Defender, Tenable )Linux certifications (RHCSA, RHCE, Security+ )Experience supporting multi-site or hybrid environments .Prior consulting or professional services experience .Successful Characteristic sMethodical, detail-oriented problem solver .Comfortable working in established client environments with legacy constraints .Professional, dependable, and client-focused .Able to work independently while collaborating with broader delivery teams .
