Overview The Medical Laboratory Technician plays a crucial role in the healthcare system by performing laboratory tests that assist in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases. The technician will work closely with healthcare professionals in a hospital setting to ensure accurate and timely results. Duties * Conduct various laboratory tests on patient samples, including blood, urine, and other bodily fluids. * Perform phlebotomy procedures to collect blood samples from patients. * Prepare specimens for analysis and ensure proper labeling and documentation. * Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring all instruments are calibrated and functioning correctly. * Analyze data from tests and communicate results to physicians and other healthcare providers. * Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized laboratory environment. * Stay updated on advancements in laboratory technology and techniques.
