Job Title: Medical Services Clinician - Occupational (Hybrid) Location: Atlanta, GA 30308 (Hybrid – Periodically onsite as needed) Job Type: Full-time Schedule: Monday to Friday (No shift work, no weekends, no on-call) Position Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Services Clinician to join our Health Services team in Atlanta. In this role, you will utilize sound clinical reasoning and expert judgment to analyze and evaluate diverse employee case situations, including new hires, off-duty injuries, and occupational injuries or illnesses. Operating in a professional office environment with hybrid flexibility, you will determine optimal courses of action, manage the return-to-work process, and ensure strict compliance and comprehensive medical record-keeping. Principal Duties & Responsibilities Case Management & Evaluation: Analyze and evaluate complex case situations (new hires, off-duty injuries, occupational injuries/illnesses). Determine the appropriate course of action based on a careful, clinical consideration of viable alternatives. Return-to-Work Coordination: Actively manage and facilitate the return-to-work process for employees, ensuring a safe and efficient transition. Clinical Documentation: Ensure timely, accurate, and thorough data entry of all pertinent medical and case information into the employee’s medical file. Team Collaboration: Partner and collaborate seamlessly with the Chief Medical Officer, Medical Director, Health Services Manager/Assistant Manager, and other members of the multidisciplinary Health Services team. Qualifications & Experience Minimum Requirements: Education & Credentials: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher with an Occupational Health Nurse (OHN) certification, OR a certified Physician Assistant (PA), OR a licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP). Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of dedicated experience in an occupational health setting. Licensure: Must be currently licensed, or have the immediate ability to be licensed, to practice in the state of Georgia. Preferred Qualifications: Advanced Certification: Certified Physician Assistant (PA-C) or Advanced Practice Nurse (APN / NP). Specialized Registry: Certified and actively listed on the FMCSA National Registry of Certified Medical Examiners. Preferred Certifications: BSN with COHN-S and/or CRC/CDMS/CRRN, or equivalent. - Physician Assistant Studies (MPAS) Health Sciences (MHS) Medical Sciences (MMSc) Adult or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ANP, ACNP) Technical Skills & Knowledge Clinical Expertise: Deeply knowledgeable and experienced with illness/injury disability assessment and medical rehabilitation management. Regulatory Compliance: Strong foundational knowledge of applicable Federal regulations and guidelines governing occupational health. Software: Proficient with MS Office Suite and comfortable navigating electronic medical tracking systems.
