Mobile Application Developer

Summary of Position (Job Purpose )We are looking for a skilled Mobile Application Develope r to join our growing technology software development team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3+ years of experience as a mobile application developer. In this role, you will design, architect, and build highly performing mobile applications across both iOS and Android platforms. You will collaborate closely with UI/UX designers and backend engineers to turn beautiful wireframes into smooth, responsive, and secure user experiences . This role is responsible for the development and code quality for the Family Dollar Mobile Application in collaboration with the Digital Product Manager for Mobile Applications. The Developer needs to be highly collaborative, well organized, with strong communication & problem-solving skills. The ideal candidate should also have Management experience to lead individual contributor(s), contractors & vendors as the role evolves over time to include additional digital responsibilitie s. Principal Duties and Responsibilit iesCross-Platform Developme nt: Build pixel-perfect, buttery-smooth user interfaces across iOS and Android apps using React Nati ve.Native API Integrati on: Leverage native APIs and build custom bridges to connect JavaScript with native iOS (Swift) and Android (Kotlin) code when necessa ry.Performance Optimizati on: Diagnose bottlenecks and fix performance flaws to ensure applications match native-speed responsivene ss.State Manageme nt: Implement clean architectures using modern state management librari es.API Consumpti on: Integrate backend RESTful or GraphQL APIs and handle complex asynchronous workflo ws.App Store Manageme nt: Oversee deployment pipelines and manage submissions to the Apple App Store and Google Play Conso le.Code Quality Assuran ce: Maintain clean, documented code and write automated testing suites to protect app stabili ty.Code Revie w: Review and validate the code that is being developed by the support te am. Minimum Requirements/Qualific ationsExpert proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeS cript.Complete understanding of the React Native ecosystem, hooks, and component life c ycles.Practical experience setting up complex routing patterns with React Navig ation.Solid grasp of Redux Toolkit, Zustand, or Contex t API.Comfort working with platform tools like Android Studio, and Xcode.Proficiency with automated testing frameworks such as Browser stack.Experience with CI/CD tools tailored for mobile automation, such as GitLab Ac tions.Mastery of Git workflows and repository manag ement.Experience with mobile monitoring and debugging tools such as Firebase Crashlytics or si milar.Experience implementing push notifications and deep li nking.Experience in integrating mobile applications with eCommerce, loyalty, authentication, and enterprise backend sy stems.Bachelor's degree in computer science, Mobile Development, or equivalent technical field.3+ years of professional mobile app development exper ience.Prior background migrating existing web applications (React.js) into mobile environ ments.Familiarity with offline data storage strategies and local synchronization databases like SQLite or Realm.Strong oral and written communication s kills.Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate, mentor and develop team m embersKnowledge of Oracle Commerce a plus
