The Ro le:They are looking for a hands-on Network Engineer to own the infrastructure that connects their people, systems, and facilities. You'll design and operate everything from fiber-connected multi-building campus networks to secure, air-gapped environments supporting engineering, manufacturing, and high-performance compute workloa ds. This is a high-ownership role — you won't just maintain what exists, you'll architect what comes next. What You' ll DoDesign, deploy, and maintain enterprise and lab networks across multiple buildings and facil itiesArchitect and operate air-gapped and isolated networks with strict segmentation, access control, and security monit oringDesign and optimize HPC cluster networking to support simulation and engineering workloads requiring low-latency, high-throughput connect ivityConfigure and manage switching, routing, wireless, and firewall systems (Cisco, Fortinet, Juniper, or U nifi)Implement and maintain fiber-based WAN connectivity between buildings and remote sitesManage LAN/WAN infrastructure including VLANs, VPNs, DNS, DHCP, an d QoSIntegrate on-prem and cloud networking across Azure and Microsoft 365 hybrid environ mentsDeploy and maintain network monitoring and alerting systems (PRTG, SolarWinds, Grafana, NetBox, Dat adog)Build resilient architectures with redundancy, observability, and security baked in from the startDocument network designs, configurations, and operational procedures in line with ITSM and change management best prac ticesPartner with IT, security, and engineering teams to support secure, high-performance opera tions What You Bring5+ years of experience as a Network Engineer or in an equivalent technica l roleProven experience designing and operating multi-building or campus ne tworksStrong hands-on knowledge of fiber WAN, switching, routing, and firewalls (Cisco, Fortinet, Juniper, or Unifi)Experience building and maintaining air-gapped or segmented network enviro nmentsFamiliarity with HPC or other low-latency, high-throughput networking s ystemsProficiency with network monitoring, diagnostics, and alerting toolsDeep understanding of TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, routing protocols, DNS, DHCP, and network se curityStrong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skillsAn ownership mindset — you're equally comfortable drawing up architecture and pulling cable Bonus PointsBackground in defense, aerospace, or other regulated technical environments (GCC High, FedRAMP , ITAR)Familiarity with Zero Trust, SDN, or network aut omationScripting and automation experience in Python, Ansible, or Pow erShellExposure to ITSM, incident and change management, and configuration controlCertifications: CCNP, Fortinet NSE, Juniper JNCIP, or equ ivalent Show more Show less
