Network Engineer About the Opportunity We are seeking a Network Engineer to join a highly collaborative infrastructure team supporting a large-scale enterprise environment. This role offers a unique blend of operational support, network engineering, architecture, automation, and strategic project work. The ideal candidate enjoys solving complex networking challenges, improving reliability and performance, and partnering with cross-functional teams to deliver secure and scalable solutions. This position provides exposure to modern networking technologies across on-premises and cloud environments while offering opportunities to influence standards, automation initiatives, and long-term infrastructure strategy. Responsibilities Design, implement, and support enterprise network infrastructure and services. Maintain and enhance network performance, availability, scalability, and security. Troubleshoot complex network issues across multiple environments and technologies. Develop, maintain, and improve network standards, policies, procedures, and documentation. Collaborate with engineering, security, cloud, and infrastructure teams on strategic initiatives. Participate in network architecture planning and technology evaluations. Identify opportunities for automation and operational efficiency improvements. Support infrastructure modernization and cloud networking initiatives. Mentor junior team members and share technical knowledge across the organization. Participate in on-call support and incident response activities as needed. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. 5+ years of experience in network engineering, network operations, or infrastructure engineering. Strong expertise with enterprise networking technologies including: Cisco IOS and Nexus platforms Arista switching technologies Cisco ASA, Firepower (FTD), Fortinet, or similar firewall platforms VPN technologies Routing and switching protocols ACLs, STP, SNMP, and network security fundamentals Experience with cloud-managed networking platforms such as Cisco Meraki or similar solutions. Knowledge of cloud networking concepts including: Virtual Private Clouds (VPCs) Subnets Routing tables Hybrid connectivity architectures Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as: Terraform Ansible Similar automation frameworks Familiarity with network monitoring, observability, and troubleshooting tools. Strong understanding of network security best practices and principles. Preferred Qualifications Industry certifications such as: CCNA CCNP Equivalent networking certifications Experience with SD-WAN technologies. Exposure to automation frameworks and CI/CD pipelines. Experience supporting hybrid cloud environments. Experience with SolarWinds or similar monitoring and network management platforms. Scripting experience using Python, Bash, PowerShell, or similar languages. Technical Environment Technologies may include: Cisco Nexus Cisco Meraki Arista Cisco ASA / Firepower Fortinet Terraform Ansible SolarWinds AWS and/or Azure Networking Python Bash SD-WAN What We're Looking For Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
