Network Engineer
Description
A Long Island-based services organization is seeking a new Network Engineer to join their team in Nassau County, providing both hands-on technical work and project involvement, including design and planning activities. About the Opportunity: Shifts: 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off rotation Schedule: Monday to Friday Hours: Standard business hours with on-call duties Setting: Hybrid (Fridays are remote) Responsibilities: Participating in 24/7 on-call rotation shared with two other team members Performing hands-on technical work in routing, switching, and firewall configurations Providing Wi-Fi support and managing racking and cabling Engaging in planning, vision, budgeting, procurement, and building of projects Performing other duties, as needed Qualifications: 7+ years of experience in Network Administration Strong knowledge in routing protocols and configurations (BGP, OSPF, SD-WAN) Experience with Cisco routing and switching hardware and software Experience in maintaining enterprise Wi-Fi services Exceptional communication skills Solid troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities Ability to multitask and adjust priorities Desired Qualifications: Associate's and/or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field Certifications from Cisco, Palo Alto, or related technologies Desired Skills and Experience Network Engineer, Cisco, BGP, Router, Switch, Palo Alto, Wi-fi, Wifi Show more Show less
