About the role Our client is seeking a Network Engineer to join their growing Infrastructure team. This role combines hands-on technical execution with strategic planning to deliver reliable, scalable, and secure network services. You’ll work across a diverse technology landscape, partnering with internal teams and external stakeholders to design and support high-performing network solutions. Responsibilities Design, implement, and support network services for internal customers and business partners. Maintain and improve performance, scalability, and availability across network infrastructure. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions across multiple platforms and vendors (e.g., Cisco Nexus, Meraki, Arista, F5). Develop, document, and maintain network standards, policies, and procedures. Identify process inefficiencies and partner with leadership to drive continuous improvement. Troubleshoot complex network issues and provide timely resolution. Mentor and support team members through knowledge sharing and training. Contribute innovative solutions that go beyond traditional approaches when appropriate. Minimum qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience. Experience with enterprise networking technologies, including switching, routing, and firewalls (Cisco ASA/FTD, Fortinet). Knowledge of networking protocols and concepts, such as VLANs, VPNs, ACLs, STP, and SNMP. Experience with cloud-managed networking platforms (e.g., Cisco Meraki or similar). Understanding of cloud networking fundamentals (e.g., VPCs, subnets, routing). Experience with monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance tuning tools. Strong understanding of network security principles. Preferred qualifications Industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent. Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible). Familiarity with scripting or automation (e.g., Python, Bash). Experience with SD-WAN technologies. Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and automation frameworks. Experience operating in hybrid or multi-cloud environments. Familiarity with SolarWinds or similar network monitoring platforms.
