OpenShift / Kubernetes Engineer

Job Title: OpenShift / Kubernetes Engineer Location: Denver Colorado (On-site) Contract to Hire Pay Range: $60 to $70/hr on W2 Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced professional to support and maintain Red Hat OpenShift clusters in a dynamic production environment. Prior experience in the Banking or Financial Services industry is preferred but not required. The role focuses on ensuring the reliability, performance, and availability of critical platform infrastructure while delivering high-quality technical support in a customer-focused environment. Responsibilities Administer, maintain, and upgrade RedHat OpenShift clusters in production and non-production environments. Perform Linux system administration including troubleshooting, patching, and monitoring cluster health. Develop and maintain shell or Python scripts for automation and monitoring purposes. Collaborate with development and release teams to support deployment, releases, and ensure compliance with security, backup, and disaster recovery policies. Required Hands-on experience with RedHat OpenShift (v4.x preferred) and Linux (RedHat Linux, CoreOS) system administration. Strong expertise in shell scripting, bash, and/or Python for automation tasks. Proven experience with DevOps tools including Jenkins, Git, Ansible, Helm, Docker, and GitOps workflows.
