- About Our Client: The organization supports the Case Management Modernization (CMM) Program for the Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts (AO). It addresses the challenge of ensuring robust, scalable, and reliable enterprise-class applications deployed in the AWS cloud. By focusing on modernizing case management systems, the program aims to enhance judicial processes through improved software performance and capacity.
- About the Opportunity: The Performance Tester/Platform Engineer role is responsible for designing, executing, and analyzing performance, load, and scalability tests for applications built with React, NodeJS, and deployed on AWS. This position ensures that applications meet defined performance and reliability standards, contributing to system resilience and optimization. The role collaborates within Agile DevSecOps teams to identify bottlenecks and improve overall system performance.
- Responsibilities: • Develop and execute performance, load, stress, and endurance tests. • Define performance benchmarks and key performance indicators (KPIs). • Build and maintain performance test environments in AWS. • Design test scripts using JMeter, LoadRunner, or K6 and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines. • Conduct baseline performance analysis and capacity planning. • Collaborate with development, DevOps, and QA teams to identify and resolve performance issues. • Analyze test results and prepare detailed reports with optimization recommendations. • Validate application releases meet federal performance and reliability standards. • Support failover and stress testing scenarios. • Participate in Agile ceremonies, providing performance insights.
- Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field. • Minimum of 5 years in software performance testing, including 3 years with cloud-based systems. • Experience with automated testing tools and full QA life cycle. • Proficiency in JavaScript and performance testing tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, NeoLoad, or K6. • Knowledge of performance engineering principles. • Experience testing AWS cloud applications (EC2, ECS, CloudWatch, RDS). • Understanding of NodeJS, REST APIs, microservices, and ReactJS. • Experience with CI/CD integration for automated performance tests. • Ability to analyze system logs and metrics. • Familiarity with monitoring tools (Datadog, Prometheus, ELK Stack, Grafana). • Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills. • Experience with federal or enterprise-scale application testing. • Knowledge of container technologies and network performance testing. • Preferred certifications include ISTQB Performance Testing, AWS Solutions Architect or DevOps Engineer, and SAFe Practitioner. • Must be eligible for Public Trust clearance with the Administrative Office of the US Courts. • Must be a US Person (Green Card holder, Permanent Resident, Refugee, Asylee, or US Citizen).
