What The Role Entails (Overview) Reporting directly to the Pharmacy Manager, you will play an essential role in delivering safe, high-quality pharmaceutical care. You will act as a trusted clinical resource, build strong interprofessional relationships, and support the smooth operation of the dispensary. Key Responsibilities: 1. Patient Care & Clinical Services * Provide high-level pharmaceutical care by evaluating prescriptions for clinical appropriateness, conducting thorough patient consultations, and collaborating with physicians or allied healthcare providers. * Administer routine injections and vaccinations to support community wellness. * Deliver tailored advice on prescription medications, over-the-counter products, and disease-state management. * Maintain accurate, confidential patient records in accordance with regulatory guidelines. 2. Pharmacy Operations & Leadership * Supervise and mentor Pharmacy Technicians and dispensary support staff in accordance with provincial regulations. * Assist with perpetual inventory management (ordering, receiving, maintaining stock levels, and proper disposal of outdated products) to meet operational targets. * Ensure strict compliance with all government, professional, and corporate privacy, safety, and security protocols. * Stay current with emerging pharmaceutical trends and new healthcare product offerings. 3. Departmental Support * Assist in achieving operational objectives, managing reports, and maintaining dispensary cleanliness and safety standards. * Participate in annual performance reviews and ongoing professional development planning. What You Will Need (Requirements) * Education: Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (BSc. Pharm) or PharmD. * Licensure: Active registration and good standing with the Alberta College of Pharmacists (ACP). * Clinical Certifications: Active Authorization to Administer Medications by Injection. * Skills: Superior patient-relations skills, strong clinical j
