About The Role We are seeking a skilled Backend Developer to join our talented team at GrabJobs. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing our web applications, ensuring they can handle high user traffic and deliver a seamless experience to our users. Qualifications Proficiency in common MVC frameworks such as Symfony, Laravel, or Yii. Several years of experience in building and developing web applications. Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs and their integration between frontend and backend systems. Experience with testing frameworks such as PHPUnit or similar tools. Excellent command of the German language, both written and spoken, at least at C1 level. Proficiency in version control systems, particularly Git. Ability to work effectively within a Scrum team environment. Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for continuous learning and innovation. Responsibilities Maintain and enhance our Transfermarkt web platforms to ensure they can handle large user volumes efficiently. Implement new features within a Scrum team, contributing to the agile development process. Develop and maintain RESTful APIs to facilitate communication between the frontend and backend systems. Participate in code reviews and pair programming sessions to share knowledge and improve code quality. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve technical challenges promptly. Ensure the robustness, security, and performance of our web applications through thorough testing and optimization.
