Physician Advisor
Description
Company Description: MedResolutions is committed to preserving the future of independent private practice by equipping private practices with the tools typically only afforded to groups backed by private equity and large consolidated provider organizations. By leveraging Transparency in Coverage Data and the federal IDR process to recover fair payment on underpaid out-of-network claims, we help independent practices protect revenue, strengthen autonomy, and remain financially viable. Our team handles the process end-to-end so physicians and staff can stay focused on patient care and practice operations. Role Description: This is a consulting, part-time Doctor advisor role with a remote-first setup and minimal time commitment. You will serve as a physician-facing representative of MedResolutions, helping other doctors and practice leaders understand how underpaid out-of-network claims can create major missed revenue opportunities and how our team helps recover that value. We are specifically seeking a private practice owner, partner, or physician with equivalent influence in an independent specialty group. The ideal candidate is not simply a physician with general healthcare experience. We are looking for someone with credibility among the doctors who actually control private practice decisions, especially in specialties where out-of-network claims and federal IDR can materially affect revenue. Qualifications: The strongest candidates will already have relationships with: private practice owners physician partners in independent groups practice administrators and operators working closely with physician ownership specialty practices with meaningful out-of-network exposure This role is particularly well-suited for active physicians or recently retired physicians who have firsthand experience with the business of private practice and understands how payer underpayment, claims write-offs, and reimbursement friction impact the economics of an independent group. Preferred: Candidates with relationships in anesthesia, emergency medicine, radiology, orthopedics, plastic surgery, general surgery, interventional specialties, and other high-acuity or procedure-driven fields with regular IDR-relevant claims exposure. Not the right fit: Purely academic, purely employed, or hospital-employed physicians without strong ties to independent practice ownership circles. Compensation: Performance-based incentives tied to successful onboarding and outcomes. For advisors who commit to ongoing participation and consistently drive qualified provider introductions, an additional equity component may be offered (advisory equity, vesting monthly over 12–24 months with a short cliff), structured based on seniority and contribution.
