The model emphasizes evidence-based care, continuous learning through embedded clinical research, and integrated services that improve efficiency while reducing unnecessary utilization. Why Now? Corporate consolidation, documentation burdens, and misaligned incentive structures have pushed physicians out of private practice and into employment arrangements that prioritize throughput over outcomes. Empower Health's Physician Advisory Board is designed for practicing or former clinicians who bring deep understanding of care delivery, clinical operations, and the challenges of modern medicine — and who want to translate that experience into direct strategic influence over a platform that could change how internal medicine is practiced. This is a remote engagement requiring approximately 1–2 hours per month. Equity participation is included. Responsibilities Clinical Protocol & Care Pathway Design Advise on the development and refinement of clinical protocols, evidence-based care pathways, and outcomes measurement frameworks. Help Empower Health establish and maintain the clinical rigor necessary to differentiate the platform and deliver measurable results for patients. Clinical Credibility & Peer Validation Serve as a trusted clinical voice as Empower Health engages health systems, payers, physician networks, and prospective partners. Your clinical background and peer standing are a meaningful asset in validating the model and building trust across the healthcare ecosystem. Physician Recruitment & Network Development Provide guidance on physician recruitment strategy, compensation model design, and cultural positioning. Help identify and connect Empower Health with high-quality clinicians who align with the mission of restoring independent, physician-led medicine. Ancillary Service Integration & Patient Experience Strategy Advise on the integration of ancillary services — including advanced diagnostics, chronic care management, remote patient monitoring, and clinical research — into a seamless, patient-centered care experience. Share clinical perspective on what works, what doesn't, and what patients actually need. Value-Based Care & Outcomes Strategy Offer insight on value-based care models, risk stratification, quality reporting, and payer alignment strategies relevant to an independent internal medicine platform. Help leadership build a model designed to perform well in both fee-for-service and risk-bearing arrangements. Ideal Candidate We are looking for clinicians who are tired of watching independent medicine disappear and ready to help build something better. The ideal advisory board member brings: MD, DO, NP, PA, or allied health credential with 10+ years of clinical experience Experience in independent practice, or deep firsthand familiarity with the structural challenges of employed medicine Background in internal medicine, primary care, or a closely adjacent specialty preferred Strategic mindset with interest in care delivery innovation, clinical operations, and healthcare reform Senior clinical or administrative leadership experience Genuine commitment to physician autonomy, evidence-based practice, and patient-centered outcomes We encourage clinicians from all specialties and backgrounds to apply. Compensation & Capital Alignment Empower Health physician advisory board members receive equity participation aligned with their long-term strategic contribution. Select advisors may also have the opportunity to participate in the company's current Regulation D 506(c) offering at a minimum investment of $25,000, subject to accreditation requirements.
