Portworx Engineer - Kubernetes & Linux

CMK Resources is seeking a Portworx Resident Engineer to support our premier partner, Everpure, and their end customer on a 6-month remote engagement. This role is ideal for a hands-on storage engineer with deep Portworx expertise who enjoys working closely with customers to optimize, troubleshoot, and modernize enterprise Kubernetes storage environments. You will partner with a Solutions Architect to support an established Portworx Enterprise environment while helping the customer continue their migration away from VMware. This is a highly technical, customer-facing role focused on day-to-day operational support, best practices, storage optimization, and automation. What You'll Be Doing Serve as the dedicated Portworx Resident Engineer supporting the customer's production environment. Manage, troubleshoot, and optimize Portworx Enterprise deployments running in large Kubernetes environments. Support FlashArray storage integrated with Portworx CSI. Assist with ongoing migration efforts from VMware to modern container-based infrastructure. Support PX Backup configuration, operations, and recovery activities. Work with large-scale environments supporting approximately 500 TB of data across multiple dense Kubernetes clusters. Collaborate with the Solutions Architect to implement best practices and improve operational efficiency. Develop or enhance Linux-based automation and scripting to streamline administration and migration tasks. Troubleshoot storage, Kubernetes, and infrastructure issues while serving as a trusted technical advisor to the customer. What You Bring 5+ years of enterprise storage engineering experience. Hands-on experience administering Portworx Enterprise in production environments. Experience supporting Kubernetes and containerized infrastructure. Experience integrating Portworx with Pure Storage FlashArray using CSI. Experience with PX Backup. Strong Linux administration skills. Experience creating or maintaining Linux automation or scripting. Experience supporting enterprise storage migrations. Strong troubleshooting and customer-facing communication skills. Nice to Have Golang experience. VMware migration experience. Experience supporting large enterprise Kubernetes environments. Pure Storage certifications. Experience working as a Resident Engineer, Professional Services Consultant, or Technical Account Manager.
