Description

Department: Managed Solutions Reports To: VP, Managed Solutions Location: South Florida, Preferably, Central Florida (second option) anywhere in Florida (third option) and Tennessee (fourth option). I would also entertain anyone in the South East US region (Carolinas, Georgia, etc…) Employment Type: Full-Time (Remote) – Travel within our regions (FL, SC, NC, GA, TN, OK, TX). ABOUT THE ROLE We are seeking an experienced Managed Security Pre-Sales Architect to serve as the technical bridge between our sales team, our Security Operations Center (SOC), and our prospective customers. This individual will be responsible for articulating the value of our managed detection and response (MDR/MxDR) offerings, delivering compelling technical demonstrations, and helping prospects understand how our platform-driven approach to security operations reduces risk and improves their security posture. The ideal candidate combines strong cybersecurity fundamentals with polished presentation skills, someone equally comfortable whiteboarding an architecture with a CISO and running a live product demo for an IT team. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Partner with Account Executives and Sales Directors throughout the sales cycle to provide technical expertise, qualify opportunities, and shape winning solution designs. Deliver engaging, tailored product demonstrations of our managed security platform to prospective customers, translating complex technical capabilities into clear business outcomes. Lead technical discovery sessions to understand a prospect's existing security stack, data sources, and operational maturity, and map findings to a recommended solution architecture. Explain how security telemetry from endpoints, network, cloud, identity, and SaaS sources is ingested, normalized, and correlated to surface high-priority incidents and how automation and orchestration reduce manual effort for the customer's team. Speak fluently to how alerts are enriched with context, prioritized by business risk, and mapped to industry frameworks (e.g., MITRE ATT&CK) so prospects understand the "why" behind an escalation, not just the "what." Articulate the differences between traditional SIEM/log management and modern, analytics-driven security operations, including anomaly detection, user and entity behavior analytics (UEBA), and automated investigation workflows. Respond to RFPs/RFIs and security questionnaires with accurate, well-positioned technical content. Build and maintain demo environments, sample dashboards, and proof-of-concept configurations to support the sales process. Stay current on the competitive landscape, industry threat trends, and compliance requirements relevant to target verticals (e.g., K-12 education, healthcare, financial services, public sector). Collaborate with the SOC, engineering, and product teams to relay customer feedback and ensure smooth pre-sales-to-onboarding handoffs. Represent the company at industry conferences, panels, and customer events as a subject matter expert. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS 3–5 years of experience in a Pre-Sales Architecting, sales engineering, solutions architect, or SOC/security analyst role supporting a managed security services or MDR/MxDR business. Strong working knowledge of Security Operations Center (SOC) functions, including alert triage, incident investigation, and escalation workflows. Hands-on familiarity with SIEM and SOAR technologies, with direct experience using Google Chronicle / Google Security Operations (SecOps) strongly preferred. Solid understanding of endpoint security and EDR/XDR solutions and how they integrate into a broader detection and response strategy. Working knowledge of cloud security, identity security, and network security concepts and how telemetry from each feeds a unified security operations program. Familiarity with risk-based alert prioritization, anomaly/behavioral detection concepts, and frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK. Understanding of automation and orchestration concepts as applied to incident investigation, remediation, and IT service management (ITSM) ticketing integrations. Awareness of relevant compliance and regulatory frameworks (e.g., HIPAA, PCI-DSS, NIST, CMMC, FERPA, CJIS) and how they influence customer security requirements. Demonstrated ability to present to both technical and executive audiences, including live product demonstrations, whiteboard sessions, and formal presentations. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business value for non-technical stakeholders. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Industry certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CySA+, GSEC, GCIH, CISSP, or equivalent vendor certifications (e.g., Google SecOps/Chronicle, CrowdStrike, Fortinet). Prior experience supporting sales cycles in a specific vertical such as K-12 education, healthcare, financial services, or public sector/government. Experience building or supporting proof-of-concept (POC) environments and technical evaluations. Familiarity with competitive positioning and battlecard development for security services. Public speaking experience at industry conferences, panels, or webinars. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR We want someone who can walk into a room (physical or virtual) with a customer's IT or Security Director or CISO and confidently answer the hard questions, "How do you actually reduce our alert fatigue?" "What happens when something is missed?" "How does this fit with what we already have?", while also being the person who can run a flawless live demo and leave the room with the prospect excited about what's next. WHAT WE OFFER Competitive base salary plus commission/bonus structure Comprehensive health, dental, and vision benefits 401(k) with company match Professional development and certification reimbursement Collaborative, mission-driven culture focused on protecting customers from real-world cyber threats
