Description
Team Overview: This is a backfill for a retiring Product Owner on a team covering investments, brokerage, trust, nonprofit, and mutual funds data. Core responsibilities mirror the Transactions & Payments PO role closely — the primary difference is domain focus. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Works as a key team member on a cross-functional team, responsible for continuous delivery of value to the customer through compelling and empowering customer experiences Maintains and refines the product backlog: creates user stories and acceptance criteria, prioritizes for maximum business value in the current quarter Ensures stories clearly communicate customer and stakeholder needs; available for grooming/planning sessions Bridges system-of-record and system-of-engagement teams — translating investments/brokerage business needs into clear data and delivery requirements Engages with internal stakeholders on a regular basis to surface needs and balance competing priorities Supports production incidents as they arise Individual contributor role, no direct reports — execution-focused, not roadmap-owning QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS: Required: 5-7 years relevant Product Owner/Product Manager experience Understanding of iterative development and the software development lifecycle Working knowledge of integrations concepts (APIs, Kafka topics) Strong communication and facilitation skills, including the ability to diplomatically manage/decline competing stakeholder demands Enterprise environment experience Preferred: Domain experience in investments, brokerage, trust, nonprofit, and/or mutual funds Financial services background Prior integration or payment processing experience
