Job Title: Product Owner Location: Remote Job type :Contract JD for Product Owner: Position Summary We are seeking a highly motivated and business-oriented Product Owner to drive the delivery and continuous improvement of our Commerce platform. The ideal candidate will bridge business stakeholders and engineering teams, translating business objectives into well-defined product requirements while ensuring successful execution across Agile teams. This role requires exceptional communication, stakeholder management, reporting, and analytical skills, along with hands-on experience using Agile product management and collaboration tools such as JIRA, Confluence, MIRO, Figma, Lucidchart , and reporting dashboards. The Product Owner will own the product backlog, prioritize initiatives based on business value, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver customer-centric digital commerce capabilities. Key Responsibilities Product Ownership Own and manage the product backlog for Commerce initiatives. Translate business strategies into clear Epics, Features, User Stories, and Acceptance Criteria. Prioritize backlog items based on customer value, business impact, risk, and technical dependencies. Define product roadmap in collaboration with Product Managers and business leadership. Ensure product vision is understood across engineering and business teams. Stakeholder Management Serve as the primary liaison between: Business teams Engineering UX/UI Architecture QA Operations Executive Leadership Reporting & Communication Produce executive-quality reports including: Sprint Status Reports Release Reports Product KPI Dashboards Roadmap Updates Dependency Tracking RAID Logs Executive Steering Committee presentations Delivery Metrics Velocity Reports Burndown/Burnup Charts Feature Adoption Reports Communicate complex technical topics in simple business language. Develop concise executive presentations with actionable insights and recommendations. Required Skills Product Ownership Scrum Backlog Management Roadmap Planning User Story Writing Acceptance Criteria Definition Prioritization Frameworks (MoSCoW, WSJF, RICE) Product Discovery Commerce Experience Experience working on one or more of: eCommerce Platforms Digital Commerce Retail Marketplace Order Management Systems Payment Systems Inventory Fulfillment Communication Skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to: Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences. Produce executive-level reports and presentations. Lead stakeholder meetings and workshops. Facilitate decision-making discussions. Resolve conflicts through effective negotiation. Present complex information clearly and concisely. Influence without direct authority. Reporting & Analytics Strong reporting capabilities including: Executive dashboards KPI reporting Delivery metrics Risk reporting Product performance reporting Release reporting Sprint analytics Data-driven decision making Experience with reporting tools is highly desirable. Required Tools Hands-on experience with: Agile & Product Management JIRA Confluence MIRO Documentation Microsoft Office Suite Microsoft Visio Lucidchart Draw.io Figma Reporting Microsoft Excel (Advanced) Power BI Collaboration Microsoft Teams Slack Zoom Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field. Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), Professional Scrum Product Owner (PSPO), or equivalent certification is preferred. Experience 3-6+ years of experience in Product Ownership, Product Management, or Business Analysis. At least 3 years of experience working within Agile/Scrum teams. Proven experience delivering Commerce or Digital Product initiatives. Experience collaborating with engineering, architecture, UX, QA, and business stakeholders. Demonstrated success in backlog management and product delivery. Success Metrics The successful Product Owner will be measured on: Delivery predictability and sprint success Backlog health and prioritization effectiveness On-time release delivery Stakeholder satisfaction Quality of requirements and acceptance criteria Reduction in production defects due to requirement clarity Achievement of product OKRs and business KPIs.
