Description

If you are interested in this career opportunity, please submit your resume via our application tracking system. We're a venture-backed startup building on a modern TypeScript-first stack (React, NestJS, Fastify, sharded Postgres on AWS), and we need a Prompt Engineer who can turn AI capabilities into real, working software — not just clever prompts. You'll work hands-on with Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, Gemini, Z.AI, and open-source models like Gemma to generate, iterate on, and improve code across our frontend and backend services. You'll sit inside an existing engineering team, collaborating closely with developers who write TypeScript every day, and you'll be expected to understand what they're building well enough to accelerate it meaningfully. This role touches everything: internal tooling to make the team faster, customer-facing product features that use AI at their core, and implementation support for SMB and enterprise clients who need AI capabilities stood up and working. When a client needs something built or a problem surfaces at an odd hour, you're part of the solution. You'll occasionally be on calls with customers — walking through what we've built, helping them understand it, and owning the implementation side of onboarding. This isn't a theoretical AI research role; it's a builder role with an AI-native toolkit Success at six months looks like this: you've meaningfully reduced engineering cycle time on at least one recurring workflow using prompt-driven code generation, you've shipped or contributed to at least one customer-facing AI feature end-to-end, and the engineering team considers you a force multiplier rather than someone who needs hand-holding. You're comfortable in the stack, you've learned the codebase, and you're proactively identifying where AI can solve the next problem before anyone ask. Requirements Demonstrated hands-on experience with at least two of the following: Claude / Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, Gemini, or open-source models (Gemma, Llama, Mistral, etc.) for code generation — not just chat Working knowledge of TypeScript sufficient to read, evaluate, and debug AI-generated code in a React + NestJS/Fastify codebase — you don't need to be a senior dev, but you can't be afraid of .tsx fixes Familiarity with AWS services at a practical level (deploying things, understanding infrastructure concepts, reading Terraform/HCL without being lost Experience using AI tooling to build or accelerate real software projects — portfolio, side projects, or professional work that shows output, not just experimentation Basic SQL literacy — able to read and write Postgres queries, understand schema structure, and work around data without needing a DBA for every task Comfort being customer-facing: you can represent technical work clearly on a video call with an SMB owner or an enterprise IT lead Genuine breadth across the technology stack — server concepts, APIs, databases, frontend basics — the kind of generalist fluency that lets you move fast without getting stuck Availability and willingness to work flexible hours when needed — early mornings, late evenings, or occasional weekends when client implementations or production issues demand Strong async written communication — this is a remote role and the team needs to stay aligned without constant meetings Excited about early-stage startup environments: ambiguity, fast change, limited process, and high ownership are features here, not bugs Show more Show less
