Position #: 095296 Expected Start Date: August 03, 2026 Union: HSAS Facility: Yorkton Community Services - Public Health City/Town: Yorkton Department: Public Health Inspection Type: Full-time temporary Expected Up to Date: June 27, 2027 FTE: 1 Shift Information: Days, Standby Number of Hours per Rotation: 28 shifts of 8 hours per 6 weeks Relief: No Float: No Hours of Work: Field Hours Salary or Pay Band: Pay Band Public Health Inspector - Degree $38.137 to $46.554 Travel Required: Yes Job Description: Reporting to the Supervisor of the Public Health Inspection Program, the Public Health Inspector assists in the planning, delivery, assessment and improvement of public health inspection services in the assigned area. The Inspector will work closely with the Medical Health Officer, and take direction from them on investigations and follow-up actions. The incumbent fulfills the requirements created by the formal delegation of responsibility by the SHA in its capacity as the 'local authority' prescribed in the Public Health Act. The SHA appoints Public Health Inspectors as 'Public Health Officer' and as Plumbing Inspectors as provided for under the authority of the Public Health Act and Regulations; the Ministry of Health appoints Public Health Inspectors as Tobacco Enforcement Officers as provided for in the Tobacco Control Act.
