QA Automation Engineer

Location - Malvern PA and Charlotte NC QA Automation Engineer – Roles & Responsibilities (Financial Client) Position: QA Automation Engineer Domain: Banking / Financial Services / Insurance / Capital Markets Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks for web, mobile, API, and backend applications. Create and execute automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver, Cypress, Playwright, or similar automation tools. Develop API automation using REST Assured, Postman, or Karate Framework. Collaborate with Business Analysts, Developers, Product Owners, and QA teams to understand business and technical requirements. Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives. Perform functional, regression, smoke, sanity, integration, and end-to-end testing. Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or GitLab CI. Execute cross-browser and cross-platform testing to ensure application compatibility. Validate financial transactions, payment processing, trading systems, claims processing, loan servicing, and customer portals. Analyze test results, identify defects, and work closely with developers to resolve issues. Perform database validation using SQL and verify backend data integrity. Execute API, UI, and database testing to ensure end-to-end functionality. Support performance and load testing using tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner. Maintain test documentation, test plans, test cases, automation scripts, and defect reports. Ensure compliance with financial industry regulations, security standards, and data privacy requirements. Continuously improve automation frameworks, testing processes, and test coverage. Required Technical Skills Strong experience with Selenium WebDriver , Cypress , or Playwright . Proficiency in Java , Python , or C# for automation scripting. Experience with TestNG , JUnit , NUnit, or PyTest. Hands-on experience with REST Assured , Postman , Karate, or SOAP UI. Strong SQL skills for database validation and backend testing. Experience with version control tools such as Git . Knowledge of CI/CD tools including Jenkins , Azure DevOps , GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI. Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies. Experience with defect tracking tools such as JIRA or Azure DevOps. Knowledge of performance testing tools like JMeter or LoadRunner. Understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is preferred.
