About The Role As a QA Automation Engineer at Slingshot Aerospace, you will be instrumental in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our software solutions that support our mission-driven initiatives. You will operate at the intersection of software engineering, product development, and AI-driven analytics, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional user experiences and scalable, robust solutions. This role extends beyond traditional testing; you will be involved in shaping quality strategies, expanding automation coverage, supporting release processes, and working closely with front-end, back-end, and data science teams. The ideal candidate will have a passion for validation, automation, and continuous improvement, bringing technical expertise and innovative thinking to enhance our software development lifecycle. Your contributions will directly impact the safety and security of space operations and the broader aerospace community. Qualifications 3+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, Software Testing, or Quality Engineering Proficiency in designing and implementing automated testing frameworks and strategies Experience with UI automation tools such as Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium Strong knowledge of modern web technologies including React, Node.js, Python, TypeScript, and Docker Understanding of APIs, backend services, and databases such as REST, GraphQL, and SQL Experience working within CI/CD pipelines and modern software development workflows Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain automated testing solutions across UI, API, integration, and end-to-end workflows Continuously expand automated test coverage using tools such as Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium Partner with developers to integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines ensuring quality at every release Create and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, and quality assurance processes supporting rapid product development Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to review requirements and acceptance criteria for clarity and testability Validate front-end, back-end, and AI-enabled functionalities across multiple platforms and products Identify, document, and track defects, ensuring timely resolution using established QA methodologies Assess production readiness and validate release quality before deployment Develop and execute API, integration, and backend validation tests to ensure system interoperability and data integrity Design performance and scalability testing scenarios to evaluate system responsiveness and stability Support weekly production releases through comprehensive testing, validation, and stakeholder communication Analyze quality trends, recommend improvements, and implement new testing tools, frameworks, and best practices to enhance overall quality engineering processes Benefits Competitive salary range of $105,000 to $160,000 Remote work flexibility within the United States and select international locations Opportunities to work on impactful projects in space, aerospace, defense, and national security sectors Collaborative and innovative work environment with opportunities for professional growth Participation in cutting-edge technology development and industry-shaping initiatives Supportive company culture emphasizing diversity, equity, and inclusion Equal Opportunity Slingshot Aerospace is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
