Job ID: 66052 Job Title: QA Automation Tester Location: 505 Hudson Street, Hartford, CT 06106 Work Arrangements: Hybrid Interview: Phone or In Person Client: Department of Children and Families Job Description: The client is seeking a Hands-on QA Automation Tester to support its mission-critical CT-KIND (CCWIS) application. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in test automation, manual testing, Agile methodologies, and Azure DevOps, with a focus on ensuring application quality, performance, scalability, and reliability across enterprise systems. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks. Perform manual and automated testing for UI, API, backend, database, and enterprise applications. Create and execute test plans, test cases, regression, integration, performance, and functional testing. Develop automated test scenarios aligned with Agile acceptance criteria. Collaborate with developers, Product Owners, and Operations to resolve defects and improve quality. Support CI/CD pipelines and maintain testing artifacts in Azure DevOps. Validate accessibility, cross-browser, mobile compatibility, and security requirements. Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous process improvement. Required Skills & Experience 5+ years of experience with Azure DevOps (Boards, Repos, Pipelines, Test Plans, Artifacts). 5+ years of hands-on experience with UFT (Unified Functional Testing) and VBScript (or equivalent programming language). 5+ years of experience in test automation, manual testing, QA methodologies, and Agile. Experience developing UI, API, backend, and database test automation. Experience with CI/CD, automated testing frameworks, and enterprise integration projects. Strong knowledge of REST/SOAP Web Services, performance, regression, security, accessibility, and database testing. Experience with SQL, .NET, Salesforce, and SharePoint. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills. Experience working on at least two large-scale Agile software development projects. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Experience with SOAPUI, C#, WCF, Web API, JavaScript, XML, JSON, and MuleSoft. Knowledge of virtualized hosting environments, data modeling, service-oriented architecture (SOA), and test-driven development (TDD).
