Quality Assurance Automation Engineer

Job Title: Automation Test Engineer Location: Mt. Laurel, NJ (Onsite – 4 Days/Week) Interview Mode: In-Person Client Interviews (Mandatory) Employment Type: Contract (C2C/W2) Client: Banking Domain Job Summar yWe are seeking an experienced Automation Test Engineer with strong expertise in Playwright, JavaScript/TypeScript, and modern QA automation practices. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing scalable automation frameworks, executing end-to-end testing, and integrating automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines within an Agile delivery environment .Note : Candidates must be able to join on short notice and attend in-person client interviews .Key Responsibilitie sDesign, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright .Build and enhance scalable, reusable automation testing frameworks .Execute end-to-end, regression, smoke, integration, and UAT testing .Validate functionality across both UI (frontend) and API/backend applications .Perform API testing using Postman and REST services .Integrate automation suites with CI/CD pipelines using Git, GitHub Actions, and Jenkins .Analyze test failures, troubleshoot defects, and perform root cause analysis .Generate and maintain test execution reports using Allure and Playwright reporting tools .Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives .Collaborate with Product Owners, Developers, Scrum Masters, and QA Leads to ensure quality delivery .Required Qualification s5–7 years of experience in QA Automation and Software Testing .Strong hands-on experience with Playwright automation framework .Proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript .Experience with JIRA for defect tracking and project management .Strong understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies .Experience with API testing using Postman and REST APIs .Knowledge of CI/CD tools and version control systems .Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills .Top Required Skill sPlaywrigh tGenAI Exposur eMicrosoft Copilo tPreferred Qualification sExperience with Allure or similar test reporting frameworks .Exposure to AI/GenAI-driven testing solutions .Experience leveraging Microsoft Copilot or similar productivity tools .Experience working with geographically distributed teams .Soft Skill sExcellent verbal and written communication skills .Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities .Self-motivated with strong attention to detail .Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment .Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills .Excellent documentation and organizational capabilities .
