Quality Assurance Automation Engineer

QA Automation Engineer Frisco, TX We're seeking a QA Automation Engineer to own automated testing across a cloud-native, event-driven platform running on Kubernetes. This is an automation-first role focused on building and maintaining test coverage, not manual testing. Responsibilities Design and maintain automated unit, integration, contract, and end-to-end tests. Build API and microservices test coverage for distributed systems. Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines. Develop performance and load testing strategies. Create and maintain Kubernetes-based test environments. Define and improve quality metrics, coverage, and test reliability. Partner with engineers to build quality into the development process. Requirements 5+ years of QA/Test Engineering experience with a strong automation focus. Experience with automated testing frameworks such as Playwright, Cypress, or similar. Experience testing APIs, microservices, and event-driven architectures. Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, containers, and Kubernetes. Strong SQL and troubleshooting skills. Experience with Agile software development. Preferred Performance testing with k6, Gatling, or Locust. Experience with contract testing (Pact), Rust, or TypeScript applications.
