About The Role We are seeking an experienced QA Automation Engineer to join our team remotely within North America. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in establishing and maintaining a test-driven, quality-first culture across the M5 platform. Your primary responsibility will be to partner closely with engineering teams to ensure our products meet the highest standards of quality while pioneering modern testing strategies, tools, and processes. A unique aspect of this role involves leveraging Agentic AI for QA automation and testing workflows, enabling the design, execution, and optimization of test cases through AI-driven agents. This integration aims to enhance scalability, reduce manual effort, and accelerate defect detection, ultimately boosting release confidence and product reliability. The ideal candidate will demonstrate leadership by example, balancing shifting priorities and championing best practices in QA. Responsibilities include enhancing automated test frameworks, supporting manual testing, mentoring team members, and driving innovation in testing methodologies. This role reports to the Software Engineering Manager and offers an exciting opportunity to influence the future of testing within a forward-thinking organization. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience Minimum of 5 years of software testing experience Proficiency in utilizing APIs (SOAP, REST, GraphQL) and writing API tests Experience with source control tools such as Git or Github Strong knowledge of relational databases, including SQL and Oracle Expertise with automation tools like Selenium, Postman, Playwright, etc. Hands-on experience using AI tools such as Claude Code, Github CoPilot, or Kiro in testing workflows Proven ability to build and maintain robust testing frameworks Deep understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices Ability to write effective test cases and test scripts Excellent communication, listening, and presentation skills Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and suites for regression, functional, integration, and end-to-end testing Leverage Agentic AI technologies to generate, execute, and optimize test cases, analyze results, and improve defect detection Execute manual regression and functional testing of enterprise product features, including web applications, reporting, and integrations Develop and implement AI-assisted testing strategies to increase test coverage, accelerate testing cycles, and reduce manual effort Perform installation, upgrade, and validation testing across supported environments Collaborate with engineering teams during planning, story grooming, and design discussions to ensure testability and quality are integrated from the outset Review and interpret product and business requirements to define comprehensive test scenarios and acceptance criteria Create, maintain, and continuously improve test plans, test cases, and automation assets Execute tests, record results, and communicate test status and risks effectively to stakeholders Generate detailed defect reports, track issues, and support timely resolution with development teams Continuously evaluate and improve test coverage, automation effectiveness, and quality metrics Advocate for best practices in QA, test automation, and AI-driven testing across the team Lead and influence the evolution of testing and automation strategies with a focus on scalability, efficiency, and innovation Benefits Generous Paid Time Off and 11 Paid Holidays Comprehensive Medical, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance with various options and employer contributions 401(k) plan with employer match that immediately vests Annual Company Bonus Opportunities for career growth and mentoring within a smaller business unit of the Volaris Group Tuition Reimbursement Program Employee rewards and recognition programs Optional Employee Stock Purchase Program with company match Access to Employee Discount Platform offering discounted entertainment tickets, movies, sporting events, hotels, and live performances Equal Opportunity AssetWorks is an equal opportunity employer.
