Job Descripti onQA Engineer - Data Management & Platform s NOTE: Need an ETL Tester with Python, Pytest, and Databricks Experie nceThe Quality Assurance Engineer will join our team and support the deployment and monitoring of quality standards. The QA Engineer will work with engineers across teams to develop a Quality Assurance framework for the entire organization. As a QA Engineer you will be a part of the Data Management & Platforms team and will help drive quality throughout the entire data product lifecycle through collaboration with product and development teams, development of test cases and automation scripts, and analysis of the system to consistently deliver quality products to downstream consum ers Primary Responsibilit ies:Lead and participate within QA teams through management of daily activities, training, and mento ringCollaborate with stakeholders to improve quality standards and testing proced uresDevelop test plans, test scenarios, test cases and test data for different testing activi tiesGuide testing methodologies across the teams on all different proj ectsProvide definition, implementation, and maintenance of standard QA processes and methodologies for cloud, data, and application engineering eff ortsCollaborate with Product Owners and UX/UI Designers teams to understand different use cases and develop test plans accordi nglyCollaborate with Product and Development Leads to develop and implement a testing roadmap for the pro ductWork with development teams to develop quality standards for areas such as test automation, unit, functional, system integration, performance, and user acceptance test ph asesOwn end-to-end QA automation and manual quality assurance processes and execu tionDefine and implement KPI's to support end-to-end automation in the product development quality life c ycleCoordinate and manage platform releases by overseeing test case execution, documenting defects, and managing deployment of rele asesTroubleshoot quality issues and modify test procedures when applic able Educa tion:Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, etc. Required Experience and S kills:3 to 5 years of software testing expe rience6+ years of experience working as a QA Engineer or in a similar ca pacityKnowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and tech niquesKnowledge of DevOps prin cipalsExperience working in an Agile envir onmentExcellent communication skills and ability to work with the different stakeholders to improve the company's procedures and to ensure the vision is communicated c learlyPrevious experience as test automation engineer at various development stages and integrating with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., unit, integration, load tests)Proficiency in Python progr ammingExperience with testing PySpark code and API t estingExperience with test automation frameworks (Pytho n BDD)Experience with docker cont ainersAnalytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail Preferred Experience and Skills:QA management exp erienceExperience working with professional software engineering practices and best practices for the full software development lif e cycleExperience improving product test coverage and effect ive ness Pay The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Fractal, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is: $115,000 - $130,000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus for the current performanc e period . Benefits As a full-time employee of the company or as an hourly employee working more than 30 hours per week, you will be eligible to participate in the health, dental, vision, life insurance, and disability plans in accordance with the plan documents, which may be amended from time to time. You will be eligible for benefits on the first day of employment with the Company. In addition, you are eligible to participate in the Company 401(k) Plan after 30 days of employment, in accordance with the applicable plan terms.
