Radiology Aide

DEFINITION/PRIMARY FUNCTION The Radiology Aide supports the imaging department by assisting technologists with patient care and exam preparation, verifying and managing images in PACS, and retrieving prior films as needed. This role involves transporting patients safely throughout the hospital, facilitating communication between departments, and maintaining a working knowledge of the Film Library. The aide ensures all necessary paperwork and safety protocols are reviewed prior to exams. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS (Minimum qualifications are required unless stated otherwise.) Experience: None Education and Training: None License, Certification & Registration: CPR Other Requirements: Keyboard experience (typing, computer) Ability to read, write, and speak English Good independent management skills High level of flexibility and organization Ability to interact appropriately with community, hospital staff, and physicians Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality Ability to maintain good interpersonal relations with patients and co-workers
